by His stripes we are healed.
i just love the beautiful, powerful simplicity of the gospel. by His sacrifice, we have salvation. He endured our punishment so that we could have peace. it's nothing we could ever accomplish on our own... it's not about how much we "do" or attempt to do for the Lord, it's about what He's already done for us!
His stripes cover every sin and heal every wound. He - the perfect / the strong / the sinless / the immortal hero / the King / the Creator - endured a pain so terrible and inhumane so that we - the sinners / the imperfect / the poor / the wounded / the depraved / the lost - could be set free.
His love gives life.
don't you just feel a weight being lifted remembering that? my heart feels so light with thankfulness when i reflect on what He's done for me, for us... He died so that we would have vibrant life and perfect peace and hope in the darkness.
and for that, life is lovely.

DeleteAlright, I know I'm commenting all up in your business tonight, but man! I stumbled across your gem of a blog tonight and you're just blessing my socks off! My family and I have been going through so much lately (GREAT stuff, very deep healing, learning to walk in our authority and some serious miracles going on)... the Lord's refining, molding, shaping and preparing us for full time ministry... but this time has been a little intense and there's not a lot of people I can really identify with online right now. I'm kind of rambling a bit, but just wanted to say hi, divine appointment and thanks Holy Spirit for highlighting this lady's adorable painting in my Pinterest feed! I needed to see the art, scripture, joy, truth elements all wrapped into one perfect little package this night. :) A lot of what He's been showing me that's in my future is what you're already doing right here. Just very inspired by it all, so thank you for sharing. xoxo
